Popalong meets at Wesley Chapel, Chapel Lane (off the Common) from 9.30 to 11.30 every Friday morning in term-time. It is for anyone who has a baby or toddler age 0 to 3 years old in Crich area, whether you are a parent, grandparent or carer.
We have a small team of faithful volunteers to facilitate the morning. We serve hot drinks and biscuits for the adults from 10.00 a.m., and the toddlers have healthy snacks and a drink at 10.30 a.m. There is craft activity, lots of toys, toddler climbing frame and soft play, opportunity to play outside in the garden, and always finishing with song-time. Children play together and parents and grandparents find it a friendly group, so all find it a place to enjoy and to make supportive friendships.
Do pop along if you would like to see what we are about, or phone the number below.
Comments from parents who came to Popalong over the years have sent us lovely comments including -
“Where would we be without Popalong? Certainly many friends lighter. It plays such a valuable role in drawing new parents and children together in a friendly, caring and sociable environment, and comes at a time when we need it most!”
“Thank you for filling our Fridays with friendship, love and chocolate biscuits”.
