Organisation set up to oppose the development of Crich Quarry into a water park
We are a local meeting of the Society of Friends which has existed since the 17th Century.
For those who find conventional religion difficult we offer an alternative spiritual experience. We have no priests or formal rules. Instead we have testimonies to Peace, Truth, Simplicity, Equality (justice and fairness) and Sustainability (care of our planet and its diverse forms of life). We are called upon to try to live by our testimonies and be examples rather than preachers.
Everybody is welcome to join us at our Meeting for Worship every Sunday at 11.00 to learn about present-day Quakers, and to stay afterwards for refreshments, conversation and often laughter.
