Community groups and organisations

Monthly club for all ages, meeting in Frtichley Village Hall. A social group with speakers, entertainers, quizzes, music, outings and more. Meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 2pm. All welcome.

Supporting children’s development through the extension of play opportunities.
Providing a place for parents and carers to meet.
Offering support for parenting and parental involvement in play.
Acting as a hub within the local community.
Providing opportunities for volunteering and learning new skills

Weekly sessions held at The Glebe Community Centre.

We play New Age Kurling at The Glebe Community Centre on Mondays from October to the end of March.

We use plastic stones fitted with ball bearings and you can use pushers if you are unable to bend sufficiently. We charge £4 a session but unless we can recruit more participants, this may have to increase to pay the Glebe costs.

We have a good laugh and would welcome new members.

Youth club meeting weekly (Thursday evenings) at The Glebe Community Centre. For young people from the local communities.

A small group of writers meeting informally every few weeks at The Black Swan, Crich.

Methodist church situated in Chapel Lane. Regular church services and a range of social activities for all ages.

Crich Parish Well dressings, a once a year event. There are about 13 groups that make a well dressing and display them at or near a natural water source as is the Derbyshire tradition. For dates look at the online Derbyshire Well Dressing Calendar.

Local walking group with qualified walk leaders. Weekly walks, mainly from Crich but sometimes from the surrounding villages on local bus routes. A social lunch is enjoyed at The Glebe Community Centre once a month after the walk. Affiliated to ‘Walk Derbyshire’

Group organising various village activities, including the annual fete, bonfire & firework display, bi-annual barn dance and occasional other things!

Crich Tramway Village provides a diverse range of activities for all ages, offering unlimited rides on vintage trams through glorious countryside. It is home to the National Tramway Museum which undertakes refurbishment of trams from the UK and overseas.
