Photography Club

New photography club organised by The Old Black Swan in collaboration with Transition Crich.

Meets on the first Monday of the month at The Old Black Swan. For people of all abilities, allowing them to share skills and experience.

Newly formed Women’s Institute group, meeting on the last Wednesday of the month at Crich Glebe Community Centre.

Crich Writers’ Group

A small and friendly group of writers (both professional and hobby/leisure), meeting informally every few weeks at the Black Swan, Crich to share progress, news and moral support. New members very welcome.

Crich Parish Well Dressings

Crich Parish well dressings is an annual summer event. Around 13 groups each make a well dressing to be displayed at or near a natural water source, as is the Derbyshire tradition. For dates, see the online Derbyshire Well Dressing Calendar.

Crich Standard

Crich Standard is a community magazine distributed free of charge to all households in the Crich parish. It is written, produced and distributed by volunteers and is supported by advertising from local businesses. It is published four times a year and supported by a Facebook page providing up-to-date news.

Crich Live

At Crich Live our aim is simple – to bring live shows and events to you, reaching as wide and diverse an audience as possible. Our shows and events are a mix of music, dance, comedy, drama and other performance media.
Our primary venue is the Crich Glebe Community Centre.

We work closely with the nationally recognised ‘Live and Local’ organisation, who provide top quality artists and performers to promoting groups in rural communities.

Crich Glebe Community Centre

Crich Glebe Community Centre is a venue for a wide range of events for the local community, and for public, private and corporate functions.

The centre is widely used by members of the community of all ages, and is the regular meeting place for a number of local clubs and societies. It also hosts a number of activities including fitness and yoga classes.

Crich Glebe Community Centre can cater for groups of up to 200, and is an ideal venue for:

  • Meetings and events for groups on a regular or occasional basis
  • Parties – christenings, birthdays, weddings, funerals etc.
  • Stage performances
  • Presentations and lectures
  • Conferences with breakout rooms

A group people interested in (non-messy) crafts. We meet 6-8pm on the second Thursday of the month at Crich Glebe Community Centre. Bring your mess-free projects and a drink/snack, and come join us!
