Can you hold a tune!?
Banish those winter blues and come and join our friendly informal community choir.
4C Community Choir meet at The Family Tree, Whatstandwell on Tuesdays from 6.45 pm to 8.30 pm
Our songs are quite an eclectic mix, from the Andrews Sisters through to the South African national anthem via Leonard Cohen & Ralph Vaughan Williams!
We sing for the pleasure of singing, although we do have occasional local booking especially at Christmas time
It isn’t necessary to be able to read music or to have a great singing voice because every voice counts. The majority of songs we do are in 3 part harmony which we call highs, tunes and lows, so when you come along all you need to do is decide which group suits your voice best, there are no auditions..
For more information, contact Gwenna Carless on 01773 856545 or Toni Griffiths on 07773 410155.

Saturday 12th February 7:30pm at the Glebe Field Centre
Well known as a beloved comic actor perhaps fewer know about Dudley Moore, pianist and composer - appearing in late night sessions at Peter Cook’s Establishment Club in 1960s Soho, on TV appearances, on recordings, and with big bands.
‘I can’t imagine not having music in my life, playing for myself or for other people. If I was asked, ‘Which would you give up?’, I’d have to say acting.’ Dudley Moore
In this vibrant, sophisticated and moving homage, the Chris Ingham Trio honour this prematurely lost and sadly missed jazz hero with delightful music, spiced with gentle anecdote and insight, this is an evening of intimate and heartfelt pleasure.
Some pieces are quintessential expressions of the bright, optimistic, swinging 60s, others are deeply poignant, personal expressions of a darker, more complex world. Sometimes there is a unique and bittersweet mix of the two.
