Welcome to the definitive website for the news and goings on of the Crich Area which includes the villages of Crich, Fritchley, Whatstandwell and the hamlets of Crich Carr, Plaistow Green and Wheatcroft.

Every quarter, Crich Standard is published as a magazine and distributed free of charge to all households in Crich Parish. It is written, produced and distributed by volunteers and is supported by advertising from local businesses.

To be held on Saturday 11 April 2020 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Proceeds from the event will go towards improving facilities at the Village Hall and Church.

LE CAFE PARISIEN is a musical and cultural journey through the streets, cafés and terraces of Europe.

Expect to hear Hot Club Swing, classical themes, adventures into Romani and Celtic music, and vintage songs, all delivered with a fresh new twist.

The highly talented Andy Lawrenson Trio blends style, flair, musical dexterity, and plenty of interaction with their audience. Their show is a veritable melting pot of astoundingly good musicianship and novel arrangements, which are all delivered with a sense of warmth, and fun. This all adds up to make for a cracking night’s entertainment which will warm the hearts!

Classic Motorcycle Day

On Sunday 5th July, Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire will host their 4th Annual Classic Motorcycle Day.

Organised in conjunction with the Vincent H.R.D Owners’ Club, the event combines the passions of vintage trams and classic motorcycles offering a great family day out.

Free entry is offered to owners of classic motorcycles built prior to 5th July 1995 who wish to exhibit their motorcycles for a minimum of three hours, thanks to local skip & grab hire firm ’Derwent Waste Management’, who have sponsored the event for the fourth year.
